February 1, 2021

Senate President J. Stuart Adams and Speaker of the House Brad Wilson announce their appointments for the 2021 Utah Independent Redistricting Commission.

The appointments fit the statutory requirements of the Utah Independent Redistricting Commission and are as follows:

Redistricting is a complex process, and I believe the commission’s recommendation will help bring about the best outcomes for Utahns. I look forward to reviewing their proposal.”

“Redistricting is a once in a decade process and an integral part of our representative democracy,” said Speaker Wilson. “Utah has grown and changed over the last ten years and this process allows us to make necessary adjustments to reflect that change. This will be no easy task, especially because the pandemic has compressed the timeline. I thank the Utah Independent Redistricting Commission members for their willingness and commitment to serving the people of Utah.”
